  6. In problem #2, you could see that you were losing .75 gallons of water per minute. The variables used in the table were g and t (for time).

    If we re-phrase the problem, for every minute that passes, .75 gallons leak. So that means that the total number of gallons leaked is equal to 3/4 of the minutes that pass. So:

    g = .75t

    is your equation.

    Use t as your horizontal axis for the graph. Scale the graph to accommodate 60 minutes worth of a leaky pipe.
